As you may all soon notice, there will be some Google Ads placed at the top center (hopefully) of the Hashkafah.com discussion board.
These may be temporary as we explore the reponse given by these ads. Some of the items that we are looking into include: 1) the relevancy of the ads placed in certain topics. 2) the content of the ads 3) the click throughs given by the members 4) the income that is generated by the ads. We certainly hope that members follow through on ads that they take interest in as this assists in generating revenue for our site as well. Please feel free to comment or ask questions regarding this. We are more than happy to help you. J -------------------- Hashkafah.com: Think for Yourself™

Will you make money every time we click? mosheshmeal . I'm not yet sure if they will determine pay per click or per 1000 views. Does it set cookies on users' computers? I do not know. -------------------- Hashkafah.com: Think for Yourself™

Will you make money every time we click? mosheshmeal . didn't know you had those kind of feelings for Mr. J -------------------- My dog doesn't lick his own butt. He doesn't eat poop or step in it. I'll concede that he does smell other dogs' butts and he does lick "himself." I'd prefer it if he doesn't lick me right after that, so I employ a few minutes of buffer time between licking other things and me and I try to get him to drink some water too. - VLG

I'm sure our resident computer geeks can work out some system. mosheshmeal . Google is really smart. They're not worth hundreds of billions for nothing. They made the money knowing the tricks. They know who is clicking on what and how many times. If they pay per click, you are waisting your time clicking more than once. I, also, won't mind clicking on any and every ad if that's what Silent J needs.

Either way, we can make you some money. I'll donate 1000 clicks anytime. I once used Google Ads. It's against the rules for the owner of the site to invite people (in any way) to click the links. (If I recall correctly, that is.) -------------------- דעלך סני לחברך לא תעביד

I had this one pop up just now! Wow, I thought you were kidding, but regardless, the site exists, wow! -------------------- "Shake off all the fears and servile prejudices under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Will you make money every time we click? mosheshmeal . It seems like you get paid for any click-throughs based on an average for every 1000 page impressions. I once used Google Ads. It's against the rules for the owner of the site to invite people (in any way) to click the links. (If I recall correctly, that is.) I think the agreement stated that "I" am not allowed to click on any ads - but others are allowed to. -------------------- Hashkafah.com: Think for Yourself™

Oh, we go way back. I'm sure our resident computer geeks can work out some system. mosheshmeal . This is click fraud. It's criminal. It can be prosecuted. Probably would qualify as gezala ... or ganava if your geeks are particularly talented. Of course, I have no idea on the halacha and I'm just throwing out words. Ask your local rebbe. Either way ... not good. In fact, encouraging others to do it is solicitation and possibility conspiracy. |
