For $5K? ![]() A small island $1,200, Maybe once it's established I could charge rent or sell off parts of the island to recoup some of the money. It's also $200 per month. -------------------- |

I was just reading smth about it this morning, apparently real-life companies are buying properties there, there's even a hotel that's building a virtual property in Second Life to see how it fares before building it IRL
it said $300,000+ of real money is exchanged on that site every day. i was totally blown away. i had never heard of it before. is it free? what is it/how does it work/etc. -------------------- Kabel et ha-emet mi-mi she-omro.

I gotta see if I can find that article... -------------------- Treat each day as your last; one day you will be right

yea but what is the point? (in a non-existential sense :D) Well imagine if there was a Hashkafah island, it's like AIM on steroids. Maybe there would be a debate room, and when your done researching setting up a kosher kitchen you can set up a virtual workshop with visual aid on how to set up your first kosher kitchen. -------------------- |

like our real lives are so boring and devoid of any action so we need to look for some on cyberspace

I think its really good for ugly people. I was just thinking up the possibilities if someone were to start an IV that came to peoples houses and they wouldn't have to live in real life really, they could just live second life. for really ugly people.
