That is cool. I don't know if it would really help learning that much, especially as I don't know how easy it would be to sing along with those melodies, but it's cool.

beat is a bit heavy and bass to loud but otherwise pretty catchy

To help some high schoolers with a hard test I recorded an album with each track a new tune and another few lines that they had to memorize. They all did well- it really worked. 9 -------------------- "Eat. Spit. Be Happy." -Davids

They all did well- it really worked. 9 maqam nawah is used for mishnah no need to invent bad rock tunes http://pizmonim.com/taamim/Mishnah%20-%20Shrem.mp3 it has no quarter tones so its ashkenaz friendly, just learn it already like the yeshivot in Israel have started teaching An ashkenazified syrian trope for Taamey Emet -------------------- נ נח נחמ נחמן מאומן

I still like the Mishna Project better. A lot better. You surely mean Maqam Nahawand* *not bad for an Ashky, huh? sorry honey,Maqam Nahawand(nihavend in turkish system ) and Maqam Nawah are diff Maqamat http://pizmonim.com/maqam.htm sorry, Plus you ashkenazim have maqamat you just give them a funny name (Shteygers) and you guys are always depressed because every ashkenaz song i think of is in Maqam Hugaz (Hijaz if you preefer) which i think you guys call Ahavo rabbo shteyger/freigsh -------------------- נ נח נחמ נחמן מאומן

So you're saying every single Jewish song which originated in Central or Eastern Europe follows this musical mode? Don't you think it's a bit of an overgeneralization/stereotype...? Just a bit... well lets see, Shalom Aleichem,Hava Nagilah, Shabbat Morning Service,Weekday Evening Service, the "mi sinai" ashkenazi mi chamocha, every single klezmer song i hear btw is it apropriate for you to be posting music? meh i dont care (i dont listen to LIVE music) -------------------- נ נח נחמ נחמן מאומן

What is it? Special musical chords generate self-induction in my body? Is it possible? |

Yes its your body subconsiously recognizing maqam hijaz as part of your middle eastern heritage. (open this with IE it wont work right with fire fox) http://maqamworld.com/maqamat/hijaz.html you can play songs by clicking notes on the staff try this see if you can figure out how to play Shalom Aleichem and Hava nagilah its easy -------------------- נ נח נחמ נחמן מאומן
