Depends on the size of the package- Bodek is more expensive than Golden Flow (is that the name of the other checked brand?)

I haven't seen Golden Flow here in months, but when it was in the stores it was about 10 shekels a bag.

Yeah, but you have to wary of those. They're like Sug Gimel, and all those nasty hardwood broccoli bits.

Really? We get it and it's fine.
You're referring to Bodek? Is there anything on the bag to warn you it's sug gimmel?

I was being somewhat sarcastic, but IME, the 'broccoli cuts' bag, for example, has lots of those chunks of the stalk that have those stringy, tough parts.

It's not difficult at all, however a large number of people don't eat fresh broccoli because of bugs.

I always buy the golden flow, almost half the price of bodek, and much better quality.

It's not just the 'large number of people don't eat fresh broccoli because of bugs', it's the process involved beforehand. The washing/soaking/cleaning/checking aspect of it. To a busy housewife/exhausted career-woman, the bagged, pre-washed & checked variety is 1,000% easier. It's like artichokes over the years; got a bad name of themselves because they need to be soaked/washed/cut open and boiled..but they're surprisingly easy to check and clean for a bug-free meal.
