I'm sure most of you know these types of shirts; the long-sleeved layering tees that are translucent and meant to be worn over something more substantial. Are these tznius, given that you can see through the shirt? What about when paired with a cami; are you al pi halacha covered, even if you can see skin through the shirt in areas the cami doesn't cover?

How see-through are you talking about? Most shirts when worn with a cami have an obvious difference in color when it comes to sleeves. But is that see-through? On mine it's just not as bright a shade of white as the double layer.

I think you should just wear the see through shirt with nothing more than your bra, after all, I hear see through shirts are the new black.rolleyes.gif

Nope,
I know what you're talking about and they're pretty see-through.

Let's say you can see,
A hot and cold sink,
Where so proudly, we wash,
For netilas yadayim
Whose filtered waters and bright shine,
Through this mitzva'dig time,
O'er our hands, we watch,
Gallons of water streaming.
And the hot water from here, gets filled with cold water down there,
So don't turn on the hot water, or more will be boiled somewhere.
Oh say does that negel vasser towel yet dry,
Our cold and wet hands, and now we know the reason why!

If you can't wear a see through shirt, why can you wear stockings?

Stockings are a good enough cover for the lower legs, as the shok is not clearly defined in halacha.

IOW if your b00bs were on your legs you would have to cover them with more than stockings, but since they aren't you don't....

I don't know. But women wear those on the 402 bus with a shell... but now I'm hijacking a thread again...

as long as you got the shirt on, what's the difference if it's see thru or not.

if i were a woman i would purposely wear a tanktop or c thru shirt on the 402 bus just to get the hareidim annoyed, if they give me a problem i'll take it off!

Please do. Then you can show all those on the 402 how much you want to be seen as a body, instead of a person.

No. Especially when you can see things through the shell.

Why not just wear clear plastic bags?
