i do not understand your suffering, sir,
nor your proclamation "ENOUGH!" when the very thing you'd give your life, is for what you cannot touch. haven't you shown me many times, in noncommittal ways, and further said yourself, my dear, 'tis better to freely play? i am not cold in declination, my love; or cruel in drawing the line, nor wanting in the distance, when the distance creates your desire. your anger may be kindled against the stone hinge of your pride, but my true affection and tender love you cannot, sir, deny. for have i not, through sacrifice, eternally granted your wish? i ask you, sir, in all honesty, have not greater died for less? ~ ![]() words English painting 11 x 14 oil, op, sumi on wc -------------------- |

I love the sumi brushwork. And the glint in her eye.

I love the sumi brushwork. And the glint in her eye. I agree that the eye is what draws me right in. It's so hard for me to draw lifelike eyes. And I love the hair too. The painting goes along so well with the poem. -------------------- Sometimes I get the feeling that I'm

i've revised the format of this one after advanced critiques. i think it reads much better so i'm bumping it up. not that anyone has noticed, but most i've posted have been redone. it's all a part of the process of creation i had wanted to share. i thought some might actually be interested. but since i've started something i do believe in finishing it so will continue, starting with this one.

Ahavati, I love your artwork, as well as your writing. I think that if I want to be honest with myself, I am not that 'great' at grasping all the concepts you write. I find that you're way too cool and creative for uneducated me and I feel it's wrong to comment if I don't really 'get it' all the way.

Ahavati, I love it. It really resonates.
