I don't want to sleep
Yet don't want to know Oblivion would feel like home I have nothing to call my own The demons are here Keeping me awake Putting me to sleep While sleeping I don't need hugs Awake, I don't want hugs I'm tired of my life My life is so tired of me It yawns Can't catch its breath And I sleep Ed note: this was written a while back. Undated. -------------------- Proud member of the "I don't always wait until I finish reading the thread to respond" club. ~~~~~~~~~~ As for me, I would rather be able to love things I cannot have, than to have things I'm not able to love. .~Merrit Malloy IMPVHO |

[...] My life is so tired of me It yawns Can't catch its breath And I sleep [...] i love the voice when it refocuses on something/one other than self. i think learning to express 'self' without 'self' expressed is one of the most difficult things to master in poetry. removing 'self' into a different perspective helps. it's nice to see you posting. -------------------- |
