Some time ago we discussed on a thread, the Brooks Bros. shirts. I asked DH ablout upgreading to them, but he is pretty happy with his wrinkle-free, stain-free JC Penney shirts which are certainly long lasting and affordable; they just don't come in any short sleeve (dressy/Shabbos) options.
Anyone? Thanks -------------------- Exist's friend's song, to the tune of The Star Spangled Banner
Let's say you can see, A hot and cold sink, Where so proudly, we wash, For netilas yadayim Whose filtered waters and bright shine, Through this mitzva'dig time, O'er our hands, we watch, Gallons of water streaming. And the hot water from here, gets filled with cold water down there, So don't turn on the hot water, or more will be boiled somewhere. Oh say does that negel vasser towel yet dry, Our cold and wet hands, and now we know the reason why! |

the dilemma would be doing a good job in the cutting and hemming, and being that the last time i bought shirts for him was 10 years oldm they'd have to go to a tailor for this as they get worn a LOT. anything done by hand wouldn't stand up to so much wash and wear. but thanks for the idea , if i can get them, i'm gonna check it out !
Cholent - yes, short sleevdes are shabbosdike. remember they're being under a kapote. -------------------- Exist's friend's song, to the tune of The Star Spangled Banner

I always buy them in S&B (or something similar) for 8-10 bucks a shirt. If they get ruined, I throw them out and get new ones......

I like the customer service at a big dept store. I'm not always comfortable with the mom-and-pop type experience.
