I see mountains and a sky! I never noticed before but I think I don't usually see a background landscape in your work.

I'd like to feel it. The texture of the paint looks very 3d.

I really like the colors and the expression on the girl's face. The girl looks so lost and sad, and the fact that it is expressed with minimal detail is powerful, I think.

this thing is so old but thank you. it just fit a situation yesterday. it was some of my first play regarding a palette knife and certain technique which has apparently become my signature, it seems. the essence of emotion is the important thing; relation the key. who hasn't lost something taken by a cruel world of demanding conformity? anyway...

Ahavati,

I found it!!

(I am by no means an artist, this looks like something a 12-year-old would draw, but I had fun doing it. So thanks for the inspiration. smile.gif )

omg! and so you did. but, mine is...green and doesn't eat men (unless i tell him to). i'm sure this is a distant relative. i appreciate the sacrificial offer to get him to appear here.

this is a great drawing, Al. it shows meticulous attention to detail and balance with color (the green eye and tail; splattering of red!). i think it's time you graduate to oil pastels. they're loads of fun, at first...

again. thanks. it's muchly appreciated.

I am so sorry... I don't see a dragon. But I see a big green beetle...Probably he may be interpreted as dragon's kin. smile.gif

Why thank you (and you're welcome). They must be cousins. Although, if I had drawn in all the scales on the skin that would have been meticulous detail, but alas, I didn't have enough patience for that. smile.gif

I do need to start working with my pastels again, and charcoal.

Thanks. I think I need to work more on drawing eyes. Mine always look too cartoonish, and I didn't quite get the effect I wanted of a big, scary dragon.
