I was offered a 'job' of sorts, be paid by the hour, to take someone's photos from the last few years and put them in order, develop what should be developed, create some scrapbooks (the books itself will not be paid by the hour), others will be just regular photo books and still others will be developed and put into photo albums. Teach the client how to organize photos on her comp, basic photo stuff etc..
How much can I charge an hour for such a job? -------------------- Proud member of the "I don't always wait until I finish reading the thread to respond" club. ~~~~~~~~~~ As for me, I would rather be able to love things I cannot have, than to have things I'm not able to love. .~Merrit Malloy |

Closer to 20 though So quote between $15 and $25 then. Then again, you don't want to scare the client off.. -------------------- "Life is a combination of magic and pasta." -Federico Fellini |

Quote them $22
-------------------- My dog doesn't lick his own butt. He doesn't eat poop or step in it. I'll concede that he does smell other dogs' butts and he does lick "himself." I'd prefer it if he doesn't lick me right after that, so I employ a few minutes of buffer time between licking other things and me and I try to get him to drink some water too. - VLG

congratulations! Thank you. I don't think I'd be willing to do it for under 25 an hour. I was interested in knowing what people would be willing to pay though. The client seems to want to get this done, and the right way. She said she had an idea of a price range, but wanted to hear from me. She didn't want to tell me what she was thinking of. -------------------- Proud member of the "I don't always wait until I finish reading the thread to respond" club. ~~~~~~~~~~ As for me, I would rather be able to love things I cannot have, than to have things I'm not able to love. .~Merrit Malloy |

Organizing my own digital photos is a job that I consider tough, and I actually lived through the events in the photo's! I can't imagine having to make heads and tails of someone else's mess.
