Are there any?

"Shake off all the fears and servile prejudices under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear." --Thomas Jefferson to Peter Carr, 1787

The Horst-Wessel-Lied? wink3.gif
Actually, I like the lyrics the BUF used for the same tune:
QUOTE
Comrades, the voices of the dead battalions,
Of those who fell that Britain might be great,
Join in our song, for they still march in spirit with us,
And urge us on to gain the fascist state!
(Repeat Last Two Lines)

We're of their blood, and spirit of their spirit,
Sprung from that soil for whose dear sake they bled,
Against vested powers, Red Front, and massed ranks of reaction,
We lead the fight for freedom and for bread!
(Repeat Last Two Lines)

The streets are still, the final struggle's ended;
Flushed with the fight we proudly hail the dawn!
See, over all the streets the fascist banners waving,
Triumphant standards of our race reborn!
(Repeat Last Two Lines)

--------------------
"Claiming the right to bear arms in any battle anywhere against the lower classes."
"Haughty boys, naughty boys, womankind's
Gift to a bulldog nation
In order to distinguish us from less
enlightened minds
We all wear a green carnation."

wink3.gif I suspect the lack of ott ad hominem attack proves that the reference just went over the heads of 99% of the people here...
Actually it's a pretty catchy tune... the words, on the other hand...

Let's ram the point home, then:

This is actually a fascinating historical document- these were the people who had the famous stand-off with Jews and Commies at the Battle of Cable Street.
Pity that the bonehead who uploaded the clip defeats the whole 'Mosley was a Fascist, not a Nazi' line through tacking on the highly controversial pictures of the Mitford sisters posing with SS officers.

Lady Marmalade.

"You & me baby aint nothin' but mammals..." song...

Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkle

Christmas carols. (I hate most of them, but there are some really pretty ones, "Silent Night" being one of them).

G-d, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change,
The courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Ahavah: "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
Ahavah's 3-year-old Princess (Niece): "I wanna be an ice cream flavor!"

Ahavah's Stance on Shidduchim: "No, I'm only dating Deaf guys now. Because I can't see them sign and they can't hear me speak, so we'll have no communication problems!"From this post

I have no particular interest in the lyrics, but I love the beat of the song Breathless by the Corrs.

Am I the only one here who after the Olympic games thinks "March of the Volunteers" is pretty catchy? ... despite the lyrics being a call for people to become cannon fodder at war...

btw, isn't the "official music video" from CCTV deliciously Boratesque?

... How could I forget...

Duvet (Serial Experiments Lain's opening theme)

"I am falling
I am fading
I am drowning, help me to breathe
I am hurting
I have lost it all
I am losing, help me to breathe"

... what exactly was Boa thinking?

There's an interlude in there that is totally ripped from Carlebach's "Ki Va Moed."

The first case of a non-Jewish musician stealing music from a Jewish musician. The times they are a'changin'.
