I don't like any peaches (too fuzzy), but I much prefer red nectarines.

I've never seen white fruits. I'd assume they have a slightly different flavor...

I have tasted different "white" fruit and they tend to be blander than their yellow counterparts. For example, white nectarines are rather tasteless, while yellow nectarines are sweet and full of taste.

There's a hype? I must have missed that. In general, when it comes to the different varieties of fruits, I have different tastes. For example, peach pancakes taste better with white peaches, but were I eating a raw peach, I'd prefer a red. Conversely, I find that white corn is the best tasting of all the different strains I've had.

Grapes, naturally, are a different story, and I enjoy a mixture of white, red, and concord. There's something about having the different flavours bursting together that I enjoy.

I think ripeness is much more important than white or yellow, and so I buy whichever is going at the greenmarket and was picked ripe.
