I would point out for the benefit of those parents dealing with such children that not always does "good" behavior equate with being "better".
as my psychiatrist pointed out today, it is all too easy to medicate a child into submission or oblivion when the fault lies with the parent, and not any problem on the child's part. many psychiatric medicines are capable of making it harder for a child to protest mistreatment, or abuse, or to simply stand up for themselves, mostly becuase they nolonger have the willpower to care about it. The linebetween using medicine to silence unhappy children and making them feelbetter, can sometimes be finer than a razors edge. -------------------- "well has beruria spoken"
