I was wondering if anyone here had any answers or experience to share regarding a few issues.

How would the army view a 20 year old male oleh hadash with mild to bad asthma, poor eyesight and (I'm hesitant to write this) some psychological "problems"?

Also, does anybody here have any experience with the Atuda Olim program for Olim Hadashim regarding how competative/difficult it is, if it considers Mechina at Hebrew U as acceptance into an institute of higher education etc.?

If you are accepted, after a mountain of beurocracy you'll invariably be put at some kind of desk job which begs the question : why on earth would you want to do that?
