Have you ever done a big one (lets say 500+). Did you enjoy? How big was your biggest? And -- what did you do when you finished.
I am so proud I finished the 500 piece puzzle I started but don't know what to do with it now. Is it very nerdy to glue it to something and hang it up? I don't have the heart to take it apart and doubt I'd ever do it again. I want to start my next one but won't till I figure out what to do with this. -------------------- www.adiel.com Sukkos fun!

Is it very nerdy to glue it to something and hang it up? I won't tell anyone. I don't think it's nerdy. -------------------- When a small man casts a large shadow, the sun is setting.

Yes, I love jigsaw puzzles. I used to glue them together but since I never hung them up they just ended up getting stuffed in a corner and ruined. So the last puzzle I finished I broke up and put back in the box so when my baby relatives grow up, they can have their turn.
If it's a really nice/cute picture, there's no reason why you can't hang it in a kid's room or some other casual-type room. In other words, I probably wouldn't recommend hanging it in your living room. |

I am horrible at all puzzles. I'm sure it's some sort of brain thing, but I'm just no good at them.

I want to start my next one but won't till I figure out what to do with this. My cousins did one that was sort of modern-arty shapes etc. Glued it and got it professionally framed to match. It looks exquisite hanging in their living room! -------------------- "Life is a combination of magic and pasta." -Federico Fellini |

What if you box it back up and donate it to some sort of bedridden/homebound entertainment gemach. Would they take such a thing?
I did big puzzles as a preteen/teen, glued them and hung them in my room. I think it depends on the picture if you want to display them as an adult. -------------------- Abba: I'm going to be up on the roof so if you hear a thump...

Good points. The one I just did isn't really anything too gorgeous, I'm just proud of it and feel like it's my art
I have a couple of other puzzles that are much prettier, maybe those I'll hang up if/when I finish it. Oh well, its going to be hard breaking the puzzle up, I spent hours on it! -------------------- www.adiel.com Sukkos fun!

I did 1000 piece puzzles and loved doing them. I usually just broke them apart when done. I'd suggest next time around you choose a puzzle that's worthy of being framed and do that one. I've wanted to do Thomas Kinkade puzzles, but I have way enough stuff hanging on my walls already.

I don't think I've done bigger than that, but may have - don't remember. Usually, I broke it up. however, once I decided I was going to glue it and I got the glue, but it never got glued together and I still have glue, but have no idea where puzzle is (and it's probably been broken up or something.) -------------------- Many people wish they could change their life, when all they really need to do is change their attitude towards life. - Sharon

Congratulations.
Puzzles are great fun and very educational as well for kids. Have you tried any 3-dimensional puzzles like Big Ben? |

My mother used to keep whatever puzzle was in-progress on a table in the dining room and anyone who passed by would sit for a few minutes and put a few pieces together. Eventually the puzzle would get finished and then we'd glue and frame it. (A tablecloth went right over it on Shabbos.) Btw, you don't have to glue it to something, there are puzzle glues that you just spead over the entire puzzle. -------------------- דעלך סני לחברך לא תעביד

LTL- I think you should take a really nice picture of your family, have it made into a puzzle of 500-1000 pieces then frame it.
