Is it normal for a child to make a g sound when trying to pronounce the letter d?

I've heard it with quite a few yiddish speaking children who for example say "Ich bin dergangen zi ... derhat ... " etc. instead of gergangen and gerhat. HTH What does that mean? Thanks. I guess it helps. I guess I never heard it so find it quite odd. -------------------- Many people wish they could change their life, when all they really need to do is change their attitude towards life. - Sharon
