She it's her "country, or what's left of it." I hate the New York Times. |

Since always.
Actually, that's not quite accurate. I'd venture to say since '67. -------------------- על כל אחד ואחת להוסיף בתורה ובמצוות כדי להכריע את עצמו ואת כל העולם כולו לכף זכות!

Since always. Actually, that's not quite accurate. I'd venture to say since '67. When did the State of Israel make a claim on the territory for it to be part of Israel? Jerusalem and the Golan heights can be considered part of Israel. Even Israel only considered Judea and Samaria 'disputed territory.' -------------------- Javol!

As per calling it Palestine, that isn't necessarily inaccurate. Since when was it part of the State of Israel? Since when is it part of the State of Palestine? -------------------- There are a number of ideas that literally form the backbone of Judaism. Without knowledge of these ideas, it is virtually impossible to know how Judaism came to be as it is today, or how it functions. Unfortunately, however, the more important the idea, the less the average person knows about it. - Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan, Handbook of Jewish Thought

To deny a historical region known as Palestine is counter productive, Yes there was a land called palestine, 75% of which became Jordan( a country of Palestinian and Bedouin Saudi origin) The West Bank IS part of Palestine, and as such it should be reunified with the rest of the Palestinian state......Jordan,After all it is the West Bank OF JORDAN (thats what it is west of,its east of Israel) Westbank to Jordan, Gaza to Egypt, Druze to Syria, Bedouins to Jordan. Yeah it's too bad that a non-Jew would consider it their country, even worse that they would dislike the present state of things there. Just awful. But who rules the West Bank? And who pays water and taxes and etc...? I hate Arabs. |

Yeah it's too bad that a non-Jew would consider it their country, even worse that they would dislike the present state of things there. Just awful. Forget that. It's too bad that not enough Jews consider it to be their country. Sigh. QUOTE What's that for? Do you agree or not? -------------------- על כל אחד ואחת להוסיף בתורה ובמצוות כדי להכריע את עצמו ואת כל העולם כולו לכף זכות!

It doesn't matter if it was ever part of Israel or not; the name "Palestine" has never referred to an independent country. hence why I said as per calling it Palestine, omitting her reference to 'my country.' It is part of Palestine, and it's not part of her country. Since when is it part of the State of Palestine? and when did I say it was part of the 'State of Palestine?' -------------------- Javol!

But who rules the West Bank? And who pays water and taxes and etc...? I hate Arabs. erm? (you mean because of the 'contradiction' in not liking freedom/not having to pay for water, etc.? You do realize that though Israel 'rules' the West Bank, the PA is responsible for ALL civil administration......?) -------------------- Javol!

There's a major contradiction. But then again, if Israel would no longer pay ANY attention to the West Bank, then we all know where that would lead. Siman that the West Bank belongs to Israel. OTOH, if the Arabs would not pay attention to it, then we'd all get on much better. Now, whose land is it?
