Scenario:
A coworker finds out that you have a kid and asks to see pictures. She/he then specifies that they want to see “those cute bathtime pictures that parents take.” How would you respond/react? -------------------- "But it's a dry heat."

Perv! I would just say that I don't take those sort of pictures. Then I would call the police.

Would you really call the police? And say what? (Many parents do take pics of their kids in the bathtub and don't think a thing of it.) That was said tongue-in-cheek. No, I wouldn't call the police unless there was substantial evidence to support a claim. However, if a coworker (or anyone for that matter) would consistently make inappropriate remarks in regards to my children I would stay far, far away. -------------------- דעו מאביכם כי לא בוש אבוש שוב אשוב אליכם כי בא מועד

What? What if it really is just that bath pics are cute (which presumably is why so many parents take them)? -------------------- "But it's a dry heat."

Agreed. Would you say anything to the coworker? What? What if it really is just that bath pics are cute (which presumably is why so many parents take them)? The first time it happens I would keep my mouth shut and mark it up to the fact that maybe he/she just wants to see some cute pictures. If the co-worker continues to nag about the pictures, I would tell them to back off and that they are being highly inappropriate. If it still continued, I would threaten to approach management. And if they still didn't get the message, I would do just that. There are no boundaries and no holding back when it comes to protecting your children/family. -------------------- דעו מאביכם כי לא בוש אבוש שוב אשוב אליכם כי בא מועד

Would you show the coworker pics? If I even have a question of his/her motive, absolutely not. Protecting your kid isn't necessarily a rational process. -------------------- דעו מאביכם כי לא בוש אבוש שוב אשוב אליכם כי בא מועד

Understood.
Anyone else? (Not that I don't love chatting with my new buddy, palindrome, who has a great pic, would be a good catch, and probably keeps a high standard of kashrus.) -------------------- "But it's a dry heat."

Maybe- only if all you could see were heads. And only if I trusted the coworker's motives.

No. I would not show the photos.

Maybe- only if all you could see were heads. And only if I trusted the coworker's motives. You'd show bath pics? You'd show clothed pics with just the heads? You'd show clothed pics in their entirety? (Oh, and thanks for being the chaparone.) No. I would not show the photos. Any photos? Would you do anything differently to avoid having this coworker see a pic (like take the pic off your desk or computer desktop)? -------------------- "But it's a dry heat."
