There is currently a lunar eclipse in Israel, go outside you will see that in place of a Tu B'Av (full) moon there is only half a moon, or maybe none at all. I would post pics but i can't get them uploaded to my computer right now. This follows a solar eclipse which took place on Tisha B'av.

Does this have any significance in judaism, or is it just a part of teva and we should look at the nifloes haborei and praise Hashem for making such a beautiful world for us?

I couldn't get any good pics. You really need a proper telegraphic lense.

I did have a telascope and a strong pair of binoculars and it looks so amazing. What a shame I can't photograph it...

It portends for evil as per Sukkah 29a. Woe is us.

And now for the good news... it won't happen here again for 17 years!

It's predictable? How do you reconcile that with a lunar eclipse portending for evil? Does klal yisrael sin on a regular and predictable basis?
