I'd love to, only my husband might have something to say about it.

In theory I would. Why not? Is there a reason to be prejudiced against someone because they're on a message board? You're on a message board. Are you prejudiced against yourself?

Why not? If I met him in a different capacity than on this forum, H.com would certainly be no dealbreaker. After all, like GF said, I'm on it myself....if I find it fun, so would he. But actually meeting the person on the forum might be an interesting move - it's hard to really get to know a person via IM or PM. Once you meet the person, your emotions are already high and logic is skewed by predetermined feelings towards the person. Again, it works for some, but not always.

I vehemently disagree.....
In many ways it is the best and most "accurate" way to get to know someone.....

Which can allow for relationships which may have never happened otherwise on paper, or because of "superficial" reasons......

And I agree "not always", and that you MUST meet and date the person normally IRL before reaching any conclusions, but there is a reason that "online dating is so popular these days......

I don't think that you can really get to know a person by IM. there is so much of the persons soul that you're missing that you can only get by watching them speak and listening to the inflection in their voice and the expressions in their eyes. There is so much that you can only get by watching them deal with the grocery store cashier, or by watching them eat some ice cream.

in their posture, the way they dress and carry themselves, there is a world of information that you're missing. they could well be two totaly different people!
