My son has fallen in love with a song that begins:
"Shabbos angels are peeking through my window Ima lights the candles And Abba goes to shul" Unfortunately, the neighbor who taught it to him didn't know the rest of the song (it seems like there should be more to it, right?) Does anyone know how the rest of the song goes? -------------------- "But it's a dry heat."

Here's a version that seems similar:
SHABBAT ANGELS The Shabbat Angels are peeking Through the window. While Ema lights the candles And everyone's at home. Chorus: Shab-bat Sha-lom Shab-bat Sha-lom Shab-bat Sha-lom And everyone's at home. The Shabbat Angeles are peeking Through the window. While Aba says the Kiddush And everyone's at home. (Chorus) The Shabbat Angeles are peeking Through the window. While children eat the challah And everyone's at home. SHIR LA LA LA Shir La.... La..... La... Tov Li.....Li....Li.... Bom Bom.... Bom Bom From Here. -------------------- "But it's a dry heat."

I said, "What?" She said, "Oo-oo-oo-wee."
I said, "Alright!" She said, "Love me, love me, love me." Shabbos angel, midnight fantasy I've never had a dream that . . . I don't recall the rest. |

Could you please upload an audio clip of you singing that so I can learn the tune? -------------------- "But it's a dry heat."

I know this song but I never knew that there was more than one verse.
This is how I know it: The shabbos angles are peeking through the/my windows Imma's lighting candles and Abba's going to shul. Shabbat Shalom Shabbat Shalom Shabbat Shalom To you and you and you (pointing to the kids) Or change the last line to: To everyone one of you. |
