the more I study about american jewish history, the more I cannot escape the conclusion that the rabbis in europe basicaly spiritualy murdered almost an entire continent worth of jews.

they, in response to the freedoms in america (and posibly the lack of official power vested in the bais din) assured young rabbis to go there to take rabbincal posts or start schools.

as a result, slowly durring the 19th century american congregations became more and more ignorant of jewish tradition, and more and more desperate for rabbis, such that when reform rabbis, posing as orthodox ones, responded to their request for applicants for the rabbinate, many were too ignorant to realize that they were getting a charlitian.

and even in america many reform rabbis were fired just weeks after they were hired for trying to make unnacceptable changes to the service and jewish life.

and yet they kept applying for the rabbinate positions in american shuls, and when they found one, they changed everything they found.

and why were there no rabbis to object or to fullfil these posts? because europe refused to send them.

and the reform's position of trying to hoodwink people into believing that what they were doing was actualy proper orthodox practice, was just inexcusable.
