What's the longest distance you've ever gone on foot?

I dont' think I've ever walked more than 3 miles at a time.

I forget, but it certainly started with a single step.

But definitely more than 3 miles. You've never gone hiking?

I think it was the 5 Hour hike in the Negev.

I used to walk to work daily which is a bit more than 3 miles. I haven't walked that much in a while (Actually in e"Y I probably did, but no way to measure.)

Someone I know once walked 23+ miles to get home since it was too late and couldn't drive on Shabbos.

That'll leave you sufficient recovery time for the Toronto Marathon http://www.torontomarathon.com/

I don't think so. I know people who run one a month, but I think two a year is my limit. What I really want to do is the Badwater. http://www.badwater.com/route/index.html

21 miles (with a mix of rain, hail and lightning thrown in for good measure).

I don't know about actual distance, but theme park trips always seem to end up involving miles of walking over the course of the day.

you're allowed to walk that far on shabbat?

I've walked all over Paris, London, Jerusalem, and NYC but have no idea how many miles that is. Would start in the morning and end exhausted late at night.

Also I've gone on a 15-mile-per-day hike, I think, when I was about 14.

You are allowed to walk 2000 amot outside your "place of residence", which could be an entire city, and may include some of the suburbs.

Maybe the 3 hour hike.

I probably have walked longer than that shopping.

I think part of walk started out before shabbos, but I also think it was all 'city-walking' basically never left the city limits or housing areas.
