So I see Joe Biden is the Democratic favorite for VP. If Obama actually goes for him it will be the capstone of stupidity on a truly stupid and futile effort. Have people forgotten Biden's plagiarism history? If you think it's no big deal it cost him the candidacy at least once before.

Come on, VPs rarely have that much impact. If they did, then Bush Sr. should have lost solely on account of having Mr. Potatoe head as a running mate.
It is true that if Gore would have had any normal person as a running mate the fraud sqaud in Florida would have had a harder time, but not that hard a time that they wouldn't have been able to steal the election.
And then again, you might be extrapolating that all tickets need "gravitas" from a VP, but in reality dubya doesn't have gravitas even with Cheney and couldn't get gravitas no matter what. Otherwise why did he need the fraud squad?

Certainly didn't help Perot to have a VP that slept through parts of his debate!

Doesn't matter who obama picks, though, he will lose, anyway.

I was hoping he would go for Sibelius, which would be even worse. But Biden is plenty bad, arrogant and lacking in the milk of human kindness. He is sort of like a pit bull but without the charm.
This boy's going down in flames.

I love it. That whole story from the eighties is a bit weird, but it was 20 years ago, and harmless compared to nearly every other politician out there. Joe Biden is very funny, and very smart, and I think it's a great choice. He was by far the best candidate during the democratic debates. (Not that it matters who is chosen as VP).

Oh and he will deliver the great state of Delaware for Obama.

Maybe his focus on Delaware is symbolic of his pledge to fight for the "little guy".

That's certainly possible. Everything in his campaign has been symbolic, much in the manner of a Reform Temple. And about as meaningful.
He could as easily have chosen someone from N.Dakota, S.Dakota, Wyoming, or Montana.
