It could be litfish for Sh'mos. I've heard rumors of a person named Shmais.

QUOTE (krumlikeapretzel @ Mar 8 2005, 10:20 AM) QUOTE (farshideneh greenstein @ Mar 8 2005, 09:49 AM) But why Sh'mos? I thought it maybe had to do with "shmuos," as in news/rumors. But I think it was a nickname of his long before he started Shmais. Why don't you ask him! |

Speaking of Shmais... the following announcement appeared on the site yesterday:
New Eretz Yisrael Seminary Update The information listed in yesterday’s Shmais ad reading: “Some of our teachers and lecturers include Mrs. Chani K..., Mrs. Malka T..., Mrs. Batsheva S... Rabbi Yisrael W..., Mrs. Sara Esther C..., and Rabbi Choni G...” was mistakenly listed. These people have no association with our seminary. We apologize for the inconvenience it caused them. This really made me scratch my head. How does a "little mistake" like this happen? How did these names get included in the original ad if they have no connection with the seminary? |

Well - they must have cut-and-pasted someone else's code but forgot to change the contents... maybe?
