It seems from the gemara that a snake is scarier than a lion. Or is it just that once you have another incident, you forget about the lion and the wolf?

We tend to remeber that which occured most recently. It does not say we will forget them per se (the previous galusim), but like everything, the sting will fade with time. -------------------- "What we do in life, echos in eternity"

Also see the Hagahos V'chiddushim in the moznaim, who differentiates between the lion and the wolf, where we don't forget the previous tzora, and the snake, that makes us forget the previous tzoros. -------------------- Very clever, these Jews.--- melech
