Ditto. I saw the hebrew letters and thought "oh what the heck I'll just read it" but upon further examination...

QUOTE (krumlikeapretzel @ Mar 17 2005, 05:23 PM) QUOTE (mosheshmeal @ Mar 17 2005, 05:19 PM) Did you know some people have actually mentioned him in a list of the most influential Yiddish writers of all time? It's awesome. I'd agree with that. He used to be much more fun, but then he did teshiveh berabim. "be'oisoi mukoim i'be'oisoi ishu" as he said. But he's still a pleasure to read. mosheshmeal . -------------------- If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad. ~Lord Byron |

Don't be so uptight. He says what a lot of other people think. Don't you wish every yeshivish guy trying to speak Yiddish had a tenth the command of the language he does? I wish every chassidishe guy had it too. mosheshmeal . -------------------- If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad. ~Lord Byron |

Maybe I should write a Yiddish to English online translation tool.

I read it too, although I find it boring. It's a real 'guy' blog.

I never have a reason to use my Yiddish and I've been forgetting a lot of words and getting rusty. This would be a great way to put it into practice again. *bookmark*
