When Rav Pappa laid blame on his mistake by saying that that was what Rava held, Rashi explains that Rav Pappa was trying to shift the blame.
Can someone explain why he would do this? (edit: the gemara is where it discusses what bracha to make first: a Haddas or oil.) -------------------- cash value: 2 cents
