It might actually help many people become more comfortable with being frum in a non-Satmar way. Seriously. This could be a very good thing if it is led by someone with yiras shamayim.

I think, that with leading sucha group, you will "tee oop" more than "tee ofe". As long as a guy is still in his chassidish garb, is a "halba tzura". Could you imagine how sad the parents of sucha guy will be if he suddenly changes 'uniform' etc? The beauty of a Jew is his innocence and to follow the traditions of his great/grand/parents. 'B'darkei avusainu'.
Why don't you just find glory in the place you belong?

I think most normal parents would want their children to be happy.
How much money did your gadol get from EJF/Tom Kaplan?

Being happy doesnt necessarily mean changing lifestyle.
I agree with what Kitty says. Although I'm not chassidsh, I do not see why somebody should want to change. I respect chassidim. On the other hand, I look down at chassidim that try to impress us by mingling or pretending they're more open minded. Each to their own.

The point of his forum is to discuss things, He is not spewing hatred, he is stating his point strongly and emotionally. Judaism has nothing to hide behind or anything to be scared of. If he is here to recruit, there are enough intelligent people on this bored to counter him.

I was actually thinking of inviting a friend of mine who is an atheist to this bored for some spirited conversation.

That is very anti-intellectual of you. Many rishonim hold we have an obligation to examine everything and that innocence is a bedieved (at best).

An obligation to examine, but yet follow
Our parents were smarter than we are nowadays. Don't look for a new derech.
Also, most of the poeple who try to find a new derech, end up either having charata or return at one point.

i know this boy that unfortunately (as TRA says) went from one extreme to the other. ( wearing a cross etc.) Anyway, he was drunk once, and was sitting on the steps of his house and yelling. There was a whole crowd gathered, and then he spotted a neighbor and yelled to him "yeah, you saw how my father hit me and you didn't do anything to stop him!"
