I'm thinking particularly of women, but feel free to weigh in on what's nebby for guys. Post pics if you can.

I'm thinking in particular of long-sleeved layering shirts worn under dresses/tops that clearly aren't meant to be layered. It can work perfectly, or it can be super nebby, depending on the style, and it's a thin line. Also, shirts tucked-in on women over age 8 is dangerous business.

Here's a start-- none of the aforementioned layering examples included, but I'm looking. Items to be considered separately unless otherwise noted.

Nebby?

Guys: wearing business shirts with collar closed and no tie on....wearing white socks with dark business suit and dark dress shoes....definitely a no-no
Girls: wearing a slip longer than the skirt being worn....wearing slouch socks pulled all the way up with a short skirt....

Truth is- I could go on forever. I'd better stop while I'm ahead of the game.

I think using the word "nebby" is nebby unless you're a tween.

Nah- I feel like I've seen it many times in Anthropologie. The look is very 'in' (and it's classic meets funk!) http://www.anthropol...o...=&color=blu
scarves and ties are pretty trendy.

I hate the all-buttoned-up look. I'd rather leave open the top button and sew a snap in.

But with the wrong skirt, she will look like my 7th grade Rebbetzin science teacher.
