I think part of the reason is the photography itself.

Why don't you line them with parchment/baking paper?

Oh, so I can blame it on my bad camera or bad photography capabilities?

Because I don't have any parchment/baking paper.

Buying the tins in jewish stores is MUCH, much cheaper than buying it in goyishe stores, so it's not really cost-prohibitive to use them even if they're one-use only

i usually buy them in the amazing savings types of stores, or sometimes in 99 cents stores

I think part of the reason is the photography itself.

or the fact that some food was not cooked yet (chicken soup). and being in pans, of course.

but meatballs and cranberry kugel looked yummy!! now imagine taking a picture of spaghetti with those meatballs in the middle (like a nest) on a pretty plate with a green piece of something (or a few potato pieces, a piece of the cranberry kugel and chicken) and voila - you've got a pretty picture :)

Broadway, that looks like something you'd see on Iron Chef!! (I actually saw Battle Zucchini the other day, and I saw the pic of it growing in your garden-- excellent! What a cool hobby, and you're so lucky to have a backyard!)

This wasn't taken very recently, nor is it a "dish" per se, but I was looking through some old pics and came across this, which is a whole Shabbos table laid out in a hotel room. Take note of the homemade pull-apart challah-- it's so easy and always impresses.

Bluelaptop-- would you mind posting the recipe for your ricotta "omelette" from page 1? It looks insanely good.

And for dessert, a little cookie arrangement I made for a Simchat Bat that I had seen elsewhere.

Gorgeous!! That's the Batya I know!

Where did you see the cookie arrangement? It's too cute!! :wink2:
God, grant us the...
Serenity to accept things we cannot change,
Courage to change the things we can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference
Patience for the things that take time
Appreciation for all that we have, and
Tolerance for those with different struggles
Freedom to live beyond the limitations of our past ways, the
Ability to feel your love for us and our love for each other and the
Strength to get up and try again even when we feel it is hopeless.
