Does anyone here use kosher makeup? Would vegan/vegetarian be contained under this rule?

From what I have read it is allowed because of batel b'shishim, but I am curious to a few things. Yes, some products might still use animal derivatives (although I assume it's much rarer these days), but what about the plants in such vegan/vegetarian products in regards to bugs?

I also realize that since it's not created for consumption, it's acceptable.

If not for my attempts to be a "good Christian" (i.e. someone who follows what Jesus taught and not what the Pauline Epistles taught), I doubt I'd be an orthodox Jew right now. Shemmy

What exactly is your question?

I bolded it for you, along with the first 2 questions: Do you/don't you use kosher makeup why/why not.

I don't get the bolded. As for the other, I don't wear makeup, period, but why would one need to be concerned of the "kashrus" of makeup outside of pesach?

You don't even wear a little? With your eyes?! :o I love makeup if it's tastefully done aka lightly applied. It definitely enhances the features.

Did you use it? Are you allergic?
