-Vodka Melon- (Parve)

Prep Time: 3-5 days
Cook Time: 0 minutes

Ingredients:
1 large, ripe watermelon
1 bottle of good quality vodka

Directions:
Cut a hole in the top of the watermelon, just wide and deep enough to insert a funnel.

Pour some of the vodka into the melon through the funnel.

Leave the melon in a cool place to absorb the vodka.

When the funnel is empty, pour in more vodka.

Continue for a few days until the watermelon is saturated.

Slice and serve ice-cold.

You can freeze any leftover, and then later run it through a blender to make frozen cocktails.

[Commnets:]
Here is a very easy, but great recipe for vodka watermelon. It takes 3-5 days to prepare, but the waiting time is worth it.

Serve ice-cold. Perfect for summer parties.

If you like, you can substitute the vodka for champagne. Some also use tequila, dark rum, or pernod in stead of vodka.

Try to experiment to find the spirit that suits you best.

-Chocolate pots de creme- (Milchig)

Prep Time:
Cook Time:

Ingredients:
2 C chocolate chips
6 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract (you can substitute mint, rum, etc)
1/4 tsp salt
1-1/2 C light cream or vanilla soy milk (I used almond milk)
1 C heavy cream or whipping cream
3 Tbsp confectioner's sugar

Directions:
Blend the chips. Boil the soy milk until it's just bubbling, and pour into blender. Blend for 30 seconds so it melts the chocolate. Add the eggs, vanilla and salt, and blend for another 10 seconds. Pour into cups and refrigerate.

For the whipped cream, whip up one container of rich's whip (1 cup) and add 3 Tbs. of confectioner's sugar. Whip until soft peaks form. Add a dollop of the cream and sprinkle cocoa powder on top.
