Would you let your kid wear toy jewelry to a wedding? I mean those plastic beaded things that you can buy for 99c. Let's say the kid wants to wear it and it matches their dress. Let's also say the kid is under 5.
What would be the reason not to? Safety? Showing up the kallah? Esthetics?

I usually call it "purim jewelry." would it look purim'dik if they wear it to a wedding? (Well in my opinion it does, but if it makes them happy...)
it's chinuch. if it matches, and it's special to the kid, then the kid is learning to wear special things to a wedding.
and you're worried about looking purim'dik? at a frum wedding? like when the kallah's friends are holding up black cardboard with gold letters that spells out 'mazal tov'? when Sender is juggling fire with a liquor bottle on his head? when they're throwing confetti and rhyming the chattan and kallah's names? when they're putting a streimal or a black hat on the chattan?

Good point.

Is there a possibility of it ruining the chances of a shidduch for a sibling or other family member?
Nope, none at all. But I specified the age, under 5. For every year thereafter, the possibility rises exponentially.
