Cookbook?! More like Culinary Encyclopedia Hashkafia.

If this ever gets published, that cover has got to stay.

Wow. Really nice work, all members involved in putting it together like this.

version 3.261

https://docs.google....zNjcxZTFk&hl=en

My thoughts:
- This one is better except that the food looks like it's hovering above the table/cutting board.
- In the formatting, you should avoid having one letter/number at the end of a URL spill over the next line. Either widen the margins or decrease the kerning.
- Why is p. 15 blank?
- I don't like the dash after the titles. They're not necessary.
- The titles should either be centered or flush left. This tabbed indentation looks weird. I might make them a larger font size too.
- Sometimes the link is connected to the instructions paragraph.
- You should bold people's names.
- Why do Pancakes III come before Pancakes II?

That's about where I stopped.

Good job overall.

wow, Melech, that's some dedication!
i like the 2nd pic better. (could there be a computer/laptop somewhere in there?)

"parsley" is misspelled in the table of content.

If this ever gets published, that cover has got to stay.

I hardly did anything other than delegate. A number of members put in an enormous amount of work including Amber, FYI, Shuli, and quite a few others as well as those who contributed the actual recipes and helped in other ways.

Please note how many of the members mentioned above are still active. Thank you.

yeah - are we even allowed to have a cookbook now that shuli and amber are mia?
"Spiritual wants and instincts are as various in the human family as are physical appetites, complexions, and features, and a man is only at his best, morally, when he is equipped with the religious garment whose color and shape and size most nicely accommodate themselves to the spiritual complexion, angularities, and stature of the individual who wears it."

"The despotism of heaven is the one absolutely perfect government. An earthly despotism would be the absolutely perfect earthly government, if the conditions were the same; namely, the despot the perfectest individual of the human race, and his lease of life perpetual. But as a perishable perfect man must die, and leave his despotism in the hands of an imperfect successor, an earthly despotism is not merely a bad form of government, it is the worst form that is possible."

I actually like the first one (the censored one). It's so much more h.com and not needing to look like any of the other cookbooks out there. I feel inside jokes are perfectly fine in this case.

i obviously missed smth here. when i opened Melech's link, it wouldn't scroll a little to see the full picture; when it scrolled, it was only to the next page. so, i saw that woman putting in/taking out smth from the oven (Manhattan challah lady?) and some text, but didn't see what it read. what was it?
