So it wasn't like that (shirtless men / women wearing dental floss on thier butts)?
I didn't see any shirtless men, but the dancers on stage had big butts and danced to Latin music.

Tell the truth now. When you lived in Miami, how much time did you spend hanging around Mangoes, Delano Hotel, and the other nightlife places that Moshi described?
Or is your homesickness primarily inspired by endless gray snow and slush?

nightclubs, of course!

Just as long as it's not the Halloween parade in South Beach, or the spandex-clad middle-aged folks.......

Oh gosh. I think I'm the one that brought it up originally. I didn't see their website, just went there with some friends and found it a cool happening place. It wasn't the most kosher joint around but nor was it the least. And it seems like moshi had a good time there too so I'm glad I mentioned it.Based on this place's website, I'm very shocked at some of the h.com members mentioning it. Wow.

I'm reasonably certain that you can find dancers with big butts (both genders) in just about any locale.
I'm not sure about the Latin music, though. I really can't see how one would dance to Palestrina's Veni Creator spiritus.

Well it's a little unique because it's on Ocean Drive and tables outside by the beach and all that. Frankly I'm surprised there aren't 20 more places like Mangoes in South Beach. Anyway I was going to start a thread about going to places like this with one's spouse and its effect on "shalom bayis" but I'm not sure it'll go over well with some of the prudes around here.

What does she know to be your "preferred mode of entertainment"?Well, I'm not really sure how my wife would react to that, as although I am often away from home, that is not my preferred mode of entertainment and she knows it.
