IMO, there may be some cultural achievements that surpass the Ninth.
But if so, they are few in number.

I actually wanted to post the arrangement performed by the Brazilian Guitar Quartet, but couldn't find it online.
This adaptation of the "air" movement from bach's orchestral suite no. 3 in d major was, I believe, the first piece of classical music ever recorded.

I don't know how someone can listen to beethoven, and not believe in God.One achingly beautiful movement of Beethoven is enough for tonight, here we go. There was a time in my life when I listened to the 4th piano concerto just about every day.
