Since this forum, along with its friends, are dead, I am posting in this thread. Despite the fact I am not actually going to create the challenge.

Using something that is chometz gamur already in your house, make a creative main dish.

--needs to be a main
--can purchase additional ingredients, but the actual chometz gamur item must already be in your home
--not a boring regular

I made baked ziti tonight. Does that count?
God, grant us the...
Serenity to accept things we cannot change,
Courage to change the things we can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference
Patience for the things that take time
Appreciation for all that we have, and
Tolerance for those with different struggles
Freedom to live beyond the limitations of our past ways, the
Ability to feel your love for us and our love for each other and the
Strength to get up and try again even when we feel it is hopeless.

I have very little chometz gamur left in my house, besides for cereal. I have 1 lb of ziti for tomorrow's supper. A couple of lasagna noodles that won't get us far, and a nice amount of macaroni that will be used for supper next week including a meal I'm making for someone else. Some lukshen for soup. Oats for granola bars. I think that's it.

Besides pasta, what other chamutz gamur is there that could be a supper?

Any dough based item (like pizza)....barley...um, I don't really know. I have to have a stocked pantry/freezer for me to come up with ideas.

No. Sorry, I forgot the most important rule, that I just added.

Pasta
Bread (we use hamburger buns for sloppy joe)
Pizza Dough
Flour tortillas or the corn ones that are dumb enough to also have flour in them.

Whereas I respect the nature of this Challenge, I'm not looking to use up our chometz, per se. We sell chometz and we have a 2nd freezer.

I AM looking to use up the food in the fridge, though. An open bag of carrots, the lettuce, etc.

Today's participation: Pizza dough from fridge == pizza for freezer for next week lunch.
Decided Shabbos dessert will be Rice Krispie Treats (marshmallow fluff is bought) to finish up some of the 3 boxes we have left. Better than using flour which is not chometz gamur.

RK aren't chometz gamur either, despite the malt.

I don't think we sell it though, I'll have to ask.

Had a kishka, steak and this like shwarma meat left... put some olive oil in a frying pan with onions and threw everything else in... it came out AMAZING!

Used up my flour and sad carrots for homemade kishke
Made meat borekas from puff pastry dough I found at the bottom of the freezer. They were all funny shaped cause the dough got all cracked.
Used the last of the barley for cholent.
Used the last of chometz gefilta fish.

Does any of this qualify?

What good is it to make non-standard if no one will eat it? :)
Made schnitzel last night with bread crumbs and matza meal after I finished the bread crumbs.
Tonight is mac and cheese and tuna burgers.
Also made granola bars, but my husband is not sure that raw oats are chometz gamur.
Tomorrow is mac and meat mixture, mushroom barley soup.
Weds. is lasagna and spaghetti for other half of the family.
Thursday I think will be meatsauce and spaghetti.

And I think we'll be good.

Nothing outlandish, but at least it will get eaten! I don't have brave family members...they like boring stuff.
