Knowing the little I do of you and your DH, and what youve already written in this thread, i'd recommend DC, especially if you've never been there.

Its' our history and theres so much to do and see, and as others mentioned, probably a less expensive option.
God, grant us the...
Serenity to accept things we cannot change,
Courage to change the things we can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference
Patience for the things that take time
Appreciation for all that we have, and
Tolerance for those with different struggles
Freedom to live beyond the limitations of our past ways, the
Ability to feel your love for us and our love for each other and the
Strength to get up and try again even when we feel it is hopeless.

If it's romance you want. the Grand Canyon at sunset is hard to beat.

Fly into Vegas, book an overnight at a place there.....

Its cold now now at night no? I definitely think some places are inherently more romantic than others, such as beaches - always sexy.

naaah,--I meant the legal prostitution right outside of town.

of course, you can see legal prostitution in DC too. Visit the Capitol and various Senate and Congressional office buildings.

Of course, the hookers in Vegas are much better looking....

Yuck to both. If I was going to spend money on airfare I'd go to Cali. Great scenery and restaurants. IMO, unless you like museums, DC is kind of boring. I've never been to Vegas before, but I imagine that the main pull is the gambling and shows. So maybe I'm wrong abt Vegas.

I'd love to do California, but 3-4 days is not enough by any means, so I'd rather go when I can actually make a trip of it.

I do like museums, and DC has some great ones, so I think we'd like it.

Vegas would be fun in a touristy, Times Square way. I'm not thrilled about it.

We might do DC because it's just a drive away, cheaper, and we can come home if le bebe doesn't behave herself with her caregivers.
