As of this morning, Israel Port Workers are on strike.

Also as of this morning, there is no longer the restriction for importing cars from NAFTA (USA, Canada, or Mexico) that the cars must be made in NAFTA. This is currently the only change for personal import – other rules and procedures must be followed.
More changes (for personal and commercial import, as well as taxes) are expected in the upcoming months.

More changes as in less taxes and more things we can import?

Lower taxes on things you can import, and lower prices on things which are commercially imported.

Taxes were reduced on about 300-400 items, including many appliances, and other things you need.

Sadly, food is still expensive, but that's rarely imported.
