When i first got married I was all inspired to cook for my husband. I felt after a while I got over it because he ALWAYS added something to the recipe. Like more BBQ sauce or more sugar or Something. So I began to think that he just didn't like my cooking and even though for years and years I had been cooking gourmet meals for my own family and the LOVED it..i had suddenly lost my touch.

So then I just made him buy out every night or made him buy the premade meals or meat which already had its sauce etc. But mostly We just ate out.

I know that my husband loves to come home to a house which is OCD neat/clean and Also for food to be waiting. So after about 4months of not really putting any effort in to it.
I went to the other extreme, I began making more gourmet meals and really putting in the effort to present it on the place nicely.

But the problem is after doing this for the past couple weeks I cannot think of anything more special.

If you know any cute ideas. Please reply and I will even if not with a recipe I look it up on google. Just need some really cute ideas. Especially with presentation.

I will give you a few examples- looking for same type ideas!

1) Ice Bowl- with Ice cream
2)taco Salad bowl

Fancy meals are for Shabbos, yomtov, and simchas. Not stam a weeknight. You need to reevaluate your priorities.

Yes your right..I'm sorry I didnt realize shalom bayis isn't important

And yes ALSO shabbos is fancy... It automatically is fancier, the meat fish and wine..add to that. not to mention the whole getting dressed beautifully.
Making nice meals during the week does NOT! take away from my Shabbos in the slightest.
Obviously, I'm not suggesting This method for everyone, but yes for my marriage it works.

Anyway, If people have any good ideas, please let me know.

Anyway, I made a decision. based on the foods i have in my house. (first with dessert)
Peach/ rasberry cobbler-
recipe:

ngredients:

Easy Berry Cobbler
4 cups of fresh peaches cut into 1 inch slices
1 cup of fresh raspberries
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of peach schnapps
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 large egg
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons of melted butter

I saw a great way to present it so here is the pic for that as well. ( which im going to attempt..probably fail..)

No. We break our fast on simple foods; bread and eggs.

Fasting is harder as we age. We're sick for a few days after a fast, certainly after a long one like this.

After Yom Kippur, I stick to only eating white rice, Vitamin Water, and water; for as long as possible.

Drink a 32oz Gatorade before AND after the fast. You'll be totally fine.
